Food Choices – OMG That’s Paleo

It seems like the variety of food choices  and militant ways of following them is never-ending. Each one works for a group of people, but of course we’re not all alike.

So it’s with interest I look at foods and recipes that are good and good for you. Juli Bauer is a popular blogger who follows the paleo ideas, and has a book out called OMG That’s Paleo? Tasty, pretty and healthy food. Try recipes like this:

Homemade Honey Cinnamon Almond Butter

1 1/2 cups almonds, roasted and unsalted
1/4 cup almond oil
2 tablespoons raw honey
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
pinch of salt
Prep time: 5 minutes
Serves 2-3
1. Place the roasted, unsalted almonds in a food processor and begin to puree.
2. While your food processor is still running, pour in the almond oil.
3. Add in the raw honey, cinnamon, vanilla extract and a bit of salt.
4. Mix until well-combined and smooth.
5. Eat with anything. An apple, celery, a spoon…your finger. It all works well.
You can make this nut butter with any kind of nut you want! Macadamia, walnut, pecan. Anything will do!
